Spring Lollipop Centerpiece {Update}

I can't wait to show you my updated centerpiece.  I am stoked with how it turned out.

Remember my Cute Centerpiece I made for Valentine's Day?  I loved my cute lil' coca cola bottles so much that I couldn't part with them yet.

So I made an updated springy version so I could keep them around a little longer.

And here it is in all of it's spring glory.  {This one is a St. Patrick's/Spring combo}

I changed the red straws to turquoise, added some fun lollipops, and used turquoise and green baker's twine to tie some hearts and shamrocks to the middle of the bottles (I cut out the hearts with my silhouette).

I also used a gorgeous turquoise themed runner to finish it off.

What do you think? {Sorry in advance, I got kinda carried away with the pictures...hehe}

This makes me excited for spring, how about you?

{And in case you're wondering, I got my inspiration for this
centerpiece from here}

Here are some of my favorite projects from the week.

I've always LOVED old shutter redos.  These ones are especially gorgeous from Ode to Inspiration.  Love the stencils on them so much.

Cherished Bliss made the cutest Wooden spools ribbon storage I have ever seen!  So adorable!

And this bathroom redo is gorgeous at Handmade Mayhem.
I think I might do this with MY bathroom sometime.

{20} Questions

Here's a whole bunch of questions I have that I am usually scared silly to ask just because I don't want to be that "annoying" person that won't leave you alone because I don't know anything.  Maybe some of you can help.

Am I the ONLY one who doesn't know that much about anything?  Ha!  I hope so, because then I can get some answers to some of my questions.  hehe.

On the other hand, maybe these questions are not ok to ask, but I guess I'm gonna take the chance and ask anyway.

(Just a warning, these are not in any special order, just randomly how I thought of them.)

1) Where in the world do you get those fun ceiling tiles from?  And are there some that are made of durable material?

2)  I have always wanted to know how to get my pictures to show up larger on bloggy posts (larger than XL) like some of you do with yours?  Help photographers?

3)  How do you get people to follow your blog without having to work?  Really wanna know this one. Especially now that I have linky followers and have to start all over again.

4)  Do any of you spend weeks and even months sometimes on your blog projects because you are either waiting for some other important item to come in the mail, OR you just don't have time to finish, OR it just doesn't meet your standards for sharing via blogger.  Yeah, me neither! :)

5)  Where do people get such FUN paper (such as colored chevron paper) from for their projects?  All of the scrapbook paper I see is the same ol' same 'ol stuff and I'm bored with it.  Funny thing is, I never see it (that boring stuff) on any of your blogs.

6)  Where do I learn how to edit my own blog layout if I want to do it myself?  Are all of you that make cool stuff like that professional graphic designers?  Are there classes for such things?

7)  How many followers do I have to have before I am considered a cool enough blog to do BIG reviews and way cool giveaways?  Every time I ask, the really cool places say they are already booked.  Guess I'm not cool enough yet?!!

8)  Does it bother you if I copy your gorgeous projects and then post them on my blog?  I hope not, cuz I get really inspired by all of you and the lovely things you make.

9)  Anyone else check your blog about 100 times/day only to find nothing has changed in the past five minutes? {grin}

10)  Are all anonymous comments spam?  I'm starting to wonder.

11)  Does your family look at you like you're crazy when you say anything about your blog?  Mine always say stuff like, "what do you do on a blog anyway?", and when I tell them people can do absolutely WHATEVER they want to with their blog, they look at me like I'm even crazier.  People always seem to think things need to fit into categories, and I guess I never want to fit into just one category.

12)  Does everyone write blog posts in advance?  I'm not very good at this one.

13)  Do you schedule your posts?  Not sure why every time I've tried to do this, it just won't post and I end up having to post it manually.   How stupid can I be?

14)  Do your houses always look as immaculate as your blog posts show them?

15)  How do I use fonts from my computer?  I have all of these cool ones I've downloaded and I have NO idea how to use them.

16)  Any tips on making REALLY cool watermarks?

17)  Anyone feel like they neglect their duties a bit to keep up their blogs?

18)  Anyone have a recipe {or lots of recipes} for fun goopy stuff that kids can make?

19)  Does anyone absolutely HATE Google + and dread the day it has to be used?  Let's hope that never happens.

20)  Where do you get metal cut for your magnetic boards?

Ok, now that I've officially proven my insanity, I'll let you take some time to chew and respond.  If I'm hopeless, I guess I'll have to be ok with that too.

P.S.  If you actually made it through this whole list, I owe you a lollipop!!

{Bright Inspiration}

Today is a cloudy, overcast, snowy, {beautiful}, but very GRAY day here in North Dakota.  I don't know about YOU, but when it's gray outside for a long time, I start to feel a little down in the dumps.

So I thought I'd share some very BRIGHT inspiration to help lift everyone's spirits.

Looking at bright things makes me think of spring and I just CAN'T WAIT till spring comes.

Here's some absolutely GORGEOUS {bright} stuff I have been running into lately in bloggy land.

Have any of you seen The Tomcat Studio before?  What a FUN place to hang out.   I could handle having this place right in my backyard.  Seriously.

They do parties...some of the CUTEST ones I've ever seen.  This is an example of what's over there...talk about crazy fun!

 Speaking of which, their photographer is my very favorite photographer I have EVER seen.  You gotta check out Laura Winslow Photography.  She's got the most rockin' pictures ever!!

The famous Tatertots and Jello just came out with the most DARLING spring subway art.  Check this out!

And she also recently had the most adorable sweet sixteen party for her daughter.  I fell in LOVE with the decorations for this party. {I would love to have a little nook like this someday by the way...}

This cake from Party Cupcake Ideas is one of the most spectacular I have seen for awhile.
Just look at all of those bright colors!!  Love it!

Can't get over how ingenious this dollhouse is {at Nice Girl Notes}.
And made from dresser drawers!! What little girl wouldn't be elated to play with this?
I love the creativity.  You can find the tutorial here

And this bright mantel from Landee See, Landee Do is pretty enough to cheer anyone up!  So cute.

A Glimpse Inside made the most beautiful bright frame wreath.  And even though she posted it this past summer, I am thinking this is just awesome for ANY season, right?  I think I'm
gonna be making one of these for MY house soon...

Anything bright in YOUR house right now?  I would LOVE to see it.
Make sure you let me know and I'll hop right over and check it out!

{I'm making some really bright right now, that I'm
SUPER excited to share with you, shhh, I'm not quite done with it yet!! }

Hope YOUR day is bright and happy!
Thanks for stopping by.

Turquoise Lovin' #26

It's time for Turquoise Lovin' again!!  SO much fun stuff out there this week.

As always, thank you SO much for sharing your beautiful projects at this party each week.  And in case you hadn't noticed a change in the rules, I am allowing and WANTING you to enter your RED projects into the party too.  I figure since my signature colors on this blog are turquoise and red, we may as well enjoy the red stuff too!!

I am having such a hard time accepting that Valentine's Day is gone now.  Boohoo.  It's SO easy to decorate for Valentine's Day since my very favorite colors go SO well with the day.

I love the hearts and the roses and the sweetness that comes with it too. That's why I LOVE this Valentine's Day coffee and donuts decor from Homespun with Love.

Make the Best of Things came up with the cutest cubby shelves I've see for awhile.  I love the shabby look she gave them and the bright colored turquoise is amazing!!

Can't believe this wreath from Shimmer & Tulle is made out of coffee filters!  How creative is THAT?

Love these turquoise lovelies from one of my VERY favorite blogs Swede Dreamer
 She did a giveaway here quite some time ago and I still absolutely ADORE her style!
